Downtown Columbia

These neighborhoods are just a few minutes away from every kind of shopping, dining, medical services, the University of South Carolina, and downtown life. These areas of town have a multi-cultural, upscale feel. The University of South Carolina, I-77, Fort Jackson, and great schools are all close by.

Arcadia Lakes

This sophisticated downtown gated community is nestled among seven beautiful lakes. Residents enjoy canoeing, boating, and glorious lake views in this peaceful slice of Columbia. It is a little oasis of nature and tranquility with the conveniences of in-town living.

Forest Acres

Forest Acres is nestled beside downtown Columbia. You get all the benefits of the suburbs in a community that is in town. There are plenty of parks and green spaces, as well as a number of beautiful lakes and ponds. It's a mix of young professionals, retirees, families, and University of South Carolina students with a wide range of home sizes, lot sizes, and price point

Lake Katherine

This affluent area ranks in the top 20 marketplaces for lake property in SC. Like Forest Acres, it has a variety of styles, sizes, and price points for homes. Lot sizes tend to be generous, especially for a neighborhood so close to town. Residents enjoy paddling, kayaking, on the lake. And there are plenty of trails for people to walk or jog and enjoy the scenic lake views and nature, as well.

The Preserve

This upscale neighborhood boasts elegant new custom homes along with benefits like a community pool, gorgeous landscaping, walking trails, and a fishing pond. It is a quiet sanctuary in town.

Woodhill Crest

This small neighborhood is home to several large refurbished mansions as well as lots that are ready for new custom homes. It is a quiet, upscale neighborhood in Columbia with a beautiful view of downtown. The street is peaceful but very close to every convenience.


Chapin/Ballentine

The small towns of Chapin and Ballentine provide some wonderful local restaurants, medical offices, and shopping. The schools are extremely well-rated here. Crooked Creek and other parks and green spaces offer opportunities for recreation. You are close to Lake Murray for water sports, boating, and fishing. For a wider selection of shopping and dining, Irmo, SC is about 15-20 minutes away. These neighborhoods are about 35-45 minutes from downtown Columbia.

Lakeport in Ballentine

This is a waterfront community on Lake Murray perfect for those who love lake living. Some homes have a gorgeous view of the lake and all residents have lake access. There are walking/running trails, sidewalks, beautiful landscaping, and a lovely community pool right beside the lake.

The street names and signs have a nautical sailing theme. Most plans have a master suite on the main floor. This area has excellent schools. There are lots of wooded areas around this neighborhood which give it more of a rural feel. You may even see deer in the vicinity.

Night Harbor

This exclusive neighborhood sits on a scenic peninsula. It offers spectacular sunsets, expansive views, and Lake Murray access. There are plenty of things to do with a community clubhouse on the lake, tennis courts, a large marina, and even a convenient dry storage area.

It's a perfect place for those who love lake living, a resort-style neighborhood and being away from the hustle and bustle of town. Yet at the same time, civilization is not too far away. This neighborhood is zoned for award-winning schools.

The Oaks

This Chapin lakeside neighborhood is all about luxury. Homes have large lots, amazing master suites, large walk-in closets, and beautiful open floor plans. Residents have access to a community pool and clubhouse sidewalks throughout the neighborhood. They also enjoy a boat ramp on Lake Murray, community dock, and boat storage on site. This is lake living at its finest!

Chapin provides a small-town atmosphere with plenty of conveniences. And the Lexington-Richland 5 schools in the area are fantastic.

Timberlake

Timberlake is a collection of four neighborhoods on a peninsula of Lake Murray in Chapin. Homes come in a variety of sizes, styles, and price points. The area has a rural feel and is surrounded by woods. By water, it is very close to Dreher Island.

This community boasts the only golf course on Lake Murray! So you don't have to choose between living on the lake and your passion for golf. Enjoy dining at the Timberlake Country Club or other activities including tennis, swimming, and a fitness center.

Blythewood & North East Columbia

This side of town has almost every imaginable restaurant and shopping experience. These communities provide opportunities to connect with nature, water, walking trails, and green spaces. And downtown Columbia is just about 30 minutes away.

Longcreek Plantation

This neighborhood is for those who value sustainable, green community concepts, as well as green space. It has a variety of smaller homes for empty nesters, retirees, and young professionals. But there are also larger homes for families.

According to their site, some of the types of homes here “include detached single-family, zero lot line, Charleston style, Savannah style, 2-story walk-ups, and possibly some free-standing townhomes.” They require historic classical architectural standards and allow styles like Federalist, Craftsman, Greek Revival, Town Home, Cottage style, and Farmhouse style.

Spence Plantation

This exclusive community drips with luxury and offers stunning views of Lake Murray. Lake access is included and residents have access to a community boat ramp. A boating area includes supply stores for water sports like sailing, water skiing, boating, and fishing.

This prestigious community is zoned for award-winning Lexington 1 schools. The area has a rural feel but shopping and civilization are all just ten minutes away.

Pilgrim Point

This neighborhood has wide water views on the highly-desired Lexington side of Lake Murray. Residents enjoy lake access, a private beach area, boat storage, security, beautiful common areas, and front yard maintenance.

Zoned for the award-winning Lexington 1 school district, this community allows people the opportunity to experience the ultimate in lake living without sacrificing anything. It is within ten minutes of the town of Lexington and lots of restaurants, shops, and activities.



West Columbia

On the eastern side of West Columbia, you'll find the Congaree River, miles of trails along the West Columbia and Cayce Riverwalks, and eclectic art shops and restaurants along State Street. You could even walk from here across the bridge to the nightlife and restaurants in the Vista, the South Carolina State Museum, Edventure Museum for children, and downtown Columbia. Our famous Riverbanks Zoo is just a 5-10 minute drive from here.

On the western side of West Columbia, you'll find a more rural, spacious atmosphere, plenty of land, and peace and quiet. There are some small shops and restaurants around South Congaree and Pine Ridge. You can get to I-26 and I-27 in 10 minutes. And downtown is just 15-20 minutes away.

Congaree Park

This exclusive neighborhood backs right up to the beautiful Congaree River and has spectacular views of the sunrise over the skyline of downtown Columbia. The homes have a historic, Charleston feel and are packed full of elegance and luxury.

The neighborhood also overlooks the West Columbia Riverwalk where residents can walk, jog, or ride their bikes along the Congaree River and enjoy the scenic view of the river on one side and an ancient forest on the other.

Indian River

This all-brick home neighborhood is perfect for golf-lovers and those who enjoy being a bit removed from city life. The Indian River Golf Course sits at the center of many of the beautiful homes, providing a glorious view. Hunt Pond also contributes to the natural beauty of this neighborhood that is surrounded by wooded areas.

Housing plans focus on main-floor living and the area has a more rural feel. But it's not difficult to find civilization. It's just a 15-minute drive to Lexington or a 20-minute drive to downtown Columbia from Indian River. The interstates are easily accessible, as well.
